Whatever your dream ceremony looks like, I would be delighted to create and perform a commitment ceremony unique to you and your partner. I am committed to providing you with a warm, personalised and professional service - and I welcome your enquiries! Commitment ceremonies are essentially weddings without the legalities. There are many reasons why loving, committed, couples either choose not to, or are unable to marry. Whatever your situation may be, do remember that a commitment ceremony is not a marriage and therefore does not have the same legal implications. The process of creating a commitment ceremony is much like that of a wedding - the only difference being that commitment ceremonies tend to be less formal and less traditional than a marriage ceremony. Of course this will depend on your personalities and values - you may want an intimate, informal ceremony with a few close friends in your own home, or you may want a larger, more formal ceremony at the type of venue usually used for weddings... anything is possible! the most important thing to achieve in the ceremony is to expresses who you and your partner are, both in form and in its content.
Unfortunately it is currently not possible in Australia for a
same sex couple to be legally married. However no such
restrictions apply to commitment ceremonies, which allow people
to express their love no matter what there sexual orientation may
be.
